The anorak is a tight 50poly/50cotton semi-twill which in my experience is a decent water repellant fabric. At 6' 2" /220lbs the XL is an appropriate fit for wearing as a stand-alone outer layer or with several under layers. The cuts of fabric are pretty simple; no yoke, three panel hood, single piece sleeves, front and back torso panels. As the description states, the only velcro points are the cuffs and hood/neck closure; the belly pocket is a polymer type sef-healing military zipper with a simple flap. Not apparent in the description or picture is a standard anorak feature of a single two-hand pocket below the belly pocket. The mid-section and wast draw cords are elastic while the hood cord is hemmed single piece cloth. The sleeves are long enough to cover my wrists, which usually isn't the case for me.
The design is simple and functional enough, but I do see elbow patches in the future; it is a very repairable. At some point when it is worn out, I wouldn't hesitate to use it for a pattern for an anorak with a more hardy fabric. For general outdoor use, hunting, camping, it definitely fits the bill.
These folks have excellent customer service as well so one cannot go wrong trying this anorak out.

The anorack fits very well. Loose enough for under layer wear. Not too loose to flap in the wind. I think the fabric could stand to be heavier. I haven't used it for camping yet so I have nothing to report as to durability. Seems to be well made.
